报告简介:Mikhail Kantor has been developing Thomson scattering diagnostic for study of fast events in tokamak plasma since 1981. A new configuration of Thomson diagnostic based on multi-pass intracavity laser probing has been proposed for accurate measurements of electron temperature and density. An 100 gain of laser pulse energy in plasma during a single pumping flash of the probing laser provided accurate measurements at a high repetition rate and spatial resolution in a number of tokamaks in Ioffe Institute in Russia and German tokamaks TEXTOR and ASDEX Upgrade. The developed diagnostic systems provided detailed measurements inside magnetic islands and sawtooth crashes, fluctuations of electron temperature and density in plasma columns and study of fast dynamics at ECRH and LHCD. Studying the interaction of electron tails with LH slowing down waves in plasma required measurements of SXR Bremsstrahlung spectra at a very high count rates of detected photons. A new method which boosts the count rate up to 100 times and improves the energy resolution of spectral measurements has been proposed and applied in the FT-2 tokamak of Ioffe Institute in Ohmic and LHCD regimes. The method and first results are presented in the talk.
