报告摘要:
The COMPASS-Upgrade (U) is a compact/middle size (R= 0.95 m) high density (nsep=1020m−3) and magnetic field (B= 5T) tokamak under the construction in Prague, Czech Republic. This machine will have a number of unique features: it will be the first fully metallic from the startup fusion device, it can operate with the reactor relevant wall temperatures (up to 500o C) and a capability to accommodate full ring liquid metal divertor. All these conditions make the optimization of the COMPASS-U design and discharge scenarios quite a heavy task requiring sophisticated modelling of the plasma edge. In this presentation we discuss the status of kinetic modelling of the COMPASS-U, we justify the needs of such study, explain the simulation technique and discuss number of recent results.
